It’s just alright to start this blog with a lot of appetizer, right? Lol. Two days from now, it’s my oldest sister’s birthday and in CDO Philippines is another awesome get-together that I shall be missing. With such get-together are yummy and delectable foods on the table that I can only imagine sharing a spoon or more with everyone there!
So as this blog’s start, I’m sharing a uniquely made Sweet Potato Roll (Camote toron) which becomes an instant fave to everyone who eats this for the first time!
It looks like an egg roll (lumpia), right? The inside is actually made of sweet potato or yam with sugar and butter in it and the husband loves this as much as I do! I learned to make this when I was in high school. My Technology and Home Economics teacher in my senior years taught us this, but my oldest sister revised the recipe that I have learned, mashing the potato instead of just slicing them and having them be cooked by deep frying. I chose my sister’s take, and it’s been a hit every time! 😉
